<p>One of the happiest days I can think of was overhearing my daughters speaking to each other, and one said “Look at my muscles; I think I’m almost as strong as Mommy is!”  Watching her flex and brag made me feel so proud at the super-strong and healthy role model that I have become for my girls.  I gained this strength and this amazing body confidence from training with Coco, and I give Coco credit for also being a healthy and fit role model for women.</p>
<p>The physical differences in my muscle tone are so easy to see in the mirror. Not only have a gone down a dress size, but I&#8217;ve also stopped wearing Spanx all together because my abs and waist are finally firm.  I love to flex my arms and see brand new muscles that I never knew about before; having well-toned arms makes me feel so much more confident in wearing sleeveless dresses like Michelle Obama! And I secretly brag to my husband that I am now strong enough to do at least four variations of push ups! Without Coco, I never would have done even one pushup on my own.</p>

<p>&#8220;My <a href="http://www.cocofitness.com/2010/10/weight-loss-success-story-bride/" target="_self">best friend Kat</a> was seeing Coco to get in stellar shape for her wedding day. She looked so good; I couldn’t help but check things out for myself. I had always been in pretty good shape until graduate school when things went down hill fast. In 2008 I tried to increase my activity level to lose some weight. I wasn’t getting the results I wanted &#8212; a couple pounds here and there but they wouldn’t stay off. So I decided I needed some help to get back to my “fighting” weight.</p>
<p>When I met Coco I knew right away that she was going to motivate me and help me do what I needed to do to reach my goals. I felt very comfortable around her and knew that her positive attitude and outlook was exactly what I was looking for. So I decided to start my journey. My major goals were to lose ~30 lbs and tone up my arms, butt, and stomach (which is a lot now that I see it on paper).</p>
<p>After talking about my lifestyle we decided as a team that I needed to take control of my eating habits. I am hypoglycemic so I probably should have been controlling them some time ago, never the less I set up a food journal in which I kept track of my proportions, calorie intake and exercise. At first I thought this was going to be impossible but with Coco’s help and guidance I buckled down and gave 110%. She was able to view my spreadsheet through whenever she wanted and we talked about things at our sessions. Understanding the proportions of each food that I was eating was the biggest part that changed my life. Not only do I eat a lot healthier now but I know what proportions I need to be good full and not bloated full.<br />
During sessions I learned techniques to target the areas I wanted to change. Sessions ARE NOT a cake walk, but Coco encourages you to try your very best. You know that she is there for you and wants you to reach your goals as much as you do.</p>
<p>So far I have lost over 20 lbs and 4 pants sizes. I am so proud of myself and so are the people closest to me! Getting back into shape has given me confidence and allowed me to finally become the person I want to be. Working with Coco has inspired me to start to Kayak, Rock Climb, run 10 milers, and ride my bike long distances on the weekend. My progress has rubbed off on my family and friends and now we all workout together!</p>

<p>When Karen first came to me, she was in crutches and an ankle boot. Years spent as a college basketball athlete had taken their toll on Karen&#8217;s body, which resulted in several ligament reconstruction surgeries in her ankle. As you looked at one leg compared to the other, you thought you were looking at two different people because one of her thighs had completely atrophied (her muscle tissue had broken down and become very weak) while the other was still very toned.</p>
<p>So Karen started training with me to meet her goal of ankle rehabilitation, recovery, and ultimately running. She was insured for only several weeks more of physical therapy and wanted me to help her continue working on rebuilding ankle/leg strength afterwards.</p>
<p>With a combination of circuit training in a way that worked around her ankle injury, physical therapy, yoga, and leg strengthening exercises, we literally helped Karen get back on her feet again. She recovered several months earlier than expected, lost 5 inches off her body, influenced her mom to begin  personal training, and best of all, got her confidence back!</p>
<p>At our last training session together before she moved, Karen gave me a bouquet of flowers with this warm note:</p>

<p>Michelle says, &#8220;After years of thinking about getting a trainer and not acting on it, I saw an article in <em>Allure</em> Magazine about CocoFitness. I couldn&#8217;t believe it was so convenient to where I lived, so I decided to give Coco a try. I was tired of feeling like a wimp – I wanted to be strong and toned. I needed Coco to whip me into shape.</p>

All of the exercises I do with Coco are easy to replicate at home; she also takes the time to make sure I know the right way to do them so I can get the best results possible. The best part is &#8211; the more you work out, the more motivated you get!</p>
<p>Training with Coco is also a big stress reliever. I usually train after work, so by the time I get there I&#8217;m a ball of nerves from my day. When I walk out of training an hour later, I&#8217;m full of endorphins, I&#8217;m in a better mood and I know that I&#8217;ve done a good thing for myself – mind, body and spirit. <p>Coco and I also discuss diet and eating habits. I don&#8217;t deny myself the foods I want, I just learned to eat them in reasonable portions. I&#8217;ve also learned that if I can&#8217;t control my portions, I just won&#8217;t eat it, no matter what it is. I make sure to have a good, healthy breakfast every day and I rarely eat an entire entrée.</p>

<p>We like to joke with Fabien that he has become narcissistic, admiring his leg muscles and often showing off his hot new bod to his coworkers &#8212; whether they want to see it or not!</p>
<p>Fabien&#8217;s turning point in fitness occured during his trial session with her. &#8220;Coco made me realize early in the training session it was an investment on life!&#8221; His best bites involve lots of protein to feed his growing muscles.</p>
<p>As for his sweat sessions? &#8220;When do I not sweat with Coco? Always can do better and always more weight!&#8221;</p>

<p>&#8221; I wanted to look fabulous, get in shape and feel amazing on my wedding day. Despite my doubts about money and whether or not I would see results, I decided that training with Coco was worth it, especially considering wedding pictures last a lifetime!</p>
<p>Coco is so great to work with - <strong>she is not only kind and sweet, but she is also someone who knows how to balance that with kicking your butt when she has to.</strong> My workouts included strength training two days a week and cardio up to four times a week in between my sessions. I also decided to change my eating habits by monitoring my daily caloric intake. I created a spreadsheet where I entered in all my calories I ate and how much I exercised each day. It really helped keep me on track.</p>
<p>The workouts and watching what I ate really paid off! I lost about 15 pounds of body fat and gained a lot of muscle in my arms and legs. I also have a bad left shoulder and through working out with Coco, the pain went away. <strong>You wouldn&#8217;t believe the compliments that I got on my wedding day (and I&#8217;m still getting) &#8211; everyone was impressed with my newly toned body!</strong></p>
